There is still snow left at the bottom of the Kolokithas valley (around 1750 m), highly unusual in the middle of August.
The top photo is taken from the summit of Malotira at 1980 m, looking South across the Kolokithas valley towards Svourichti, Troharis, Pachnes.
The bottom image is a 180° panorama of the view from Malotira summit looking to the North. This is an exceptional view point. You can see the coast all the way from Drapanos, Almyrida, Kalyves to the far West beyond Rodopou and Gramvousa. You can open a large version of the panorama here.
