Vikos gorge, Pindos

Back in Crete after spending some time in the Pindos mountains. One of the famous attractions there is the gorge of Vikos. This photo is taken from the view point of Beloi, at an altitude of around 1350m so it's around 700m above the bottom of the gorge
The Vikos gorge is listed by the Guinness Book of Records as the deepest gorge in the world in proportion to its width but I am sort of doubting it. It's a wonderful gorge though, almost as spectacular as Samaria.
One advantage it has over Samaria is that you can get to several spectacular view points (Beloi, Oxya and Vikos) without having to walk far. Doing this in Samaria would require very long walks (for excample to Melindaou or Volakias).
