The small town of Kolymbari is located at the western end of the Bay of Chania. It has a long pebble beach that runs from the town to Tavronitis over 3 km away. The beach is generally pretty quiet with a few tamarisk trees growing along the beach offering shade. Some large hotels are being built and could possibly make the beach busier in the near future.
