The bay of Agia Roumeli from above

One of my favourite places in South Crete. You need to walk through the forest heading west from Agios Ioannis for about an hour and a half until you can't go any further because you are by a big drop, at a little above 600m where the cliffs turn into the gorge of Elygia. Fantastic views of Agia Roumeli and the wonderful Libyan Sea. You also get good views of the summits of Psiristra and Volakias from this spot (but not in this photo).
