A mitato in Apokorona

A mitato (Greek μιτάτο) in the foothills of the White Mountains. A mitato is a hut built from locally gathered stones to provide shelter to shepherds, and is used also for cheese-making.
At first I thought that this was a large, well-built and well-preserved mitato but looking inside made me realise that it was also the largest I had ever seen. I've added a photo with a friend standing inside (she is tall) to show the size of the building. Internal measurements are 5.50 m diameter and a height of 4.50 m. The walls have a thickness of 1.20 m.
