Olive grove in Agia Triada - 19th April 2020

Now that Greece is in lockdown I can't drive anywhere to take daily photos so until the lockdown stops I'll provide you with two photos every day. The top one will be chosen from past photos from my large catalogue.
The second one will be a photo diary of my backyard. It will be an interesting exercise for me: concentrate on subjects that are nearby and turn a restriction into an opportunity.

The backyard diary

Melting snow on the road to Poria

The road that links Omalos, Kallergi and Poria is a good indicator of snow levels in the mountains. This portion of the road traverses a steep north-facing hill at around 1600 m and I can see it from my house (in this picture obviously with a telephoto). There is still plenty of snow blocking the road. If you want to examine it in detail, click here for a very large version.
