Izzeddin fortress and the fort of Aptera

A view of the Izzeddin fortress and the fort of Aptera. The fort of Aptera is located around 100m higher than the Izzedin fort on top of the hill. They were both built at around the same time (late 19th century) to control the access to the bay of Souda.
