The White Mountains from Gerani beach

A view of the mountains from the beach of Gerani at sunset time. In the foreground you see the reeds that grow by the beach. Further back the steep hill on top of which the chapel of Agios Giorgos is located. Then further back, from the left Volakias and Gingilos. The saddle of Gingilos (which you pass if you walk to the summit) is very clearly visible to the right of the hill of Agios Giorgos. Finally in the right part of the photo you see the ridge that leads to the summits of Strifomadi (in the picture) and Psilafi (not in the picture).
The perspective is shortened by the use of a telephoto: the chapel is 4km away and the summit of Gingilos is 25km away.
