Le plateau d'Omalos en hiver - une galerie de photos

Situé à une altitude d'environ 1100 mètres et avec des précipitations annuelles de jusqu'à 2000mm (deux mètres!), principalement durant l'hiver, le plateau d'Omalos peut avoir beaucoup de neige et vaut bien une visite ou plus si vous en avez la possibilité.

Comme beaucoup de Grecs viennent visiter Omalos en hiver plusieurs hôtels (et leurs restaurants) restent ouvert en hiver, au moins le week-end. Les deux principaux sont To Exari et Neos Omalos. Si vous voulez venir et y rester le week-end assurez vous qu'ils sont ouverts et qu'il y a de la place.

Il y a quelques excellentes promenades à faire à partir d'Omalos, mais compte tenu des quantités de neige qu'il peut y avoir il vaut mieux avoir le bon équipement. Des raquettes à neige peuvent être utiles. Plus haut et sur des pentes plus raides vous pourriez avoir besoin de crampons et piolet. La plupart des gens choisissent de rester sur le plateau et ne s'aventurent pas très loin de sorte que vous serez généralement tous seuls sur les collines.
