Windsurfing
There are almost no facilities on Crete although the conditions would be almost
perfect. It is best to bring your own board.
Water-skiing
You can find water-skiing facilities in some of the larger resorts.
Scuba diving
There are a few companies offering scuba diving in Crete. A couple of those
operate from Chania.
Horse-riding
There are a few horse riding facilities in West Crete:
Zefiros horse riding club in Tersanas, Akrotiri, Zoraïda's horse
riding in Georgioupolis and the horse riding centre of Deres located
in the hills south of Maleme.
Climbing
Considering the amount of mountains on Crete, there
are not that many places where you could practice rock climbing because
most of the rock is limestone and isn't very solid.. Check some of

Paragliding
There is a paragliding club called the ICNA in
Avdou, near Heraklion.
