Rodakino, a small village on the south coast of Crete is divided
in two parts: Upper and Lower Rodakino. Despite its beautiful beaches
and green surroundings, there is very little tourism here, probably
because it is not easily accessible from the aiports. |
Getting there: Located
42 km from Rethimnon and 27 km from Hora Sfakion on small winding
roads. A couple of buses a day from Rethimnon.
Atmosphere: Rodakino
is v ery
quiet and still totally Cretan.
Accommodation: Some
small hotels and rooms.
Restaurants: A few
tavernas.
Shopping: Shops in
the upper village
Nightlife: None
Beach: Quiet beaches.
If you walk a little bit you get to some practically deserted ones.
Miscellaneous: Because
of its really nice beaches, Rodakino will be "developed" one
day. Take a look at this place before it happens.
