Located in a a pretty bay, Plakias has grown from a tiny fishing
settlement to a medium size tourist resort.
Getting there: 40
km south from Rethymnon on a good but winding road. You can also get
to Plakias along the narrow coastal road from Hora Sfakion. There is
a regular bus service from Rethymnon.

is not the quiet place it was and can be busy at times.
