Kastelli (or Kissamos) may be the 'capital' of the region of Kissamos
but it is a small provincial town. There isn't much to see but the
town has kept its Cretan character. |

Getting there: Kastelli
is located 40 km west of Chania in the beautiful gulf of Kissamos.
There are bus connections several times a day.
Atmosphere: A sleepy
little town which is not at all geared for tourism.
Accommodation: Some
accommodation in the town with more in the outlying areas. There
are also a couple of campings nearby.
Restaurants: Many
g ood
restaurants frequented by the locals.
Shopping: Kastelli
has most things you'd need
Nightlife: Some bars.
Beach: A long beach
stretching east of the town. It is a mixture of sand and pebbles.
Generally very quiet.
