Gerani

Gerani is much less developed than its neighbour Platanias but also has a number of big hotels as well as small family businesses.

Getting there:   On the main coastal road, 17 km from Chania. Frequent buses.

Atmosphere:   Reasonably quiet place somewhat lacking in atmosphere.

Accommodation:   You can find everything from luxury hotels to simple rooms.

Restaurants:   A fair choice.

Shopping:   Usual tourist amenities.

Nightlife:   Go to the next village Platanias.

Beach:   Long pebble beach. Not very crowded.
