There are still barbers like in the picture above, especially in
the smaller localities. Haircuts in these places are cheap and often
..interesting.
Alternatively, the cities have plenty of modern and well-trained hairdressers.
The top hairdressing salons will charge about € 12 to 15 for a men's haircut
and more for women. Fancy stuff like highlights and perms is not cheap but will
be well done.
I can recommend two hairdressers in Chania who are very good (and
speak English) but they are by no means the only ones. Appointments
are generally necessary. Avoid Friday and Saturday which are often
very busy.
