Holidays in Platanias

Built along a sandy beach Platanias is the largest tourist resort in West Crete. It is frequented mainly by tourists coming on package tours.

Getting there:   On the main coastal road, 14 km from Chania. Frequent buses.

Atmosphere:   A busy resort. Some love it and some don't.

Accommodation:   Everything from luxury resorts to simple rooms.

Restaurants:   Lots of restaurants of all kinds.

Shopping:   Plenty of shopping.

Nightlife:   Many bars and a few discotheques.

Beach:   Long sandy beach. Sometimes a little exposed to the wind.
