Getting there: You need
to drive to the very end of West Crete to reach Falasarna. Public
transport is very limited and it is almost essential to have your
own car.
Atmosphere: A very
quiet place.
Accommodation: A few
hotels, studios and apartments.
Restaurants: A few
restaurants.
Shopping: None
Nightlife: Non-existent
Activities: Apart
from lazing on the beach, the only other thing that you can do here
is wander around the ruins of the ancient harbour of Falasarna.
Beach: Superb sand
beaches and one of the cleanest water in Crete. This is why people
come to Falasarna. It can get very windy though.
Miscellaneous: The
superb setting of Falasarna is somewhat spoilt by the many greenhouses.
