Sunset light in the White Mountains

 

A play of shadows and light which makes this harsh high desert world appear quite soft.

This photo was taken from somewhere below the summit of Pachnes, looking towards the East. The peak in the centre is Kastro and Psiloritis is just visible above the haze in the background.
