Crocus sieberi  - 23rd April 2008

Crocus sieberi can still be found if you go high enough near melting snow fields. With the heat of the last few days that snow is melting fast. This was photographed at around 2000m on the north side of Volakies.

The good news is that the Saharan dust cloud that's been hanging over the eastern Mediterraenean for well over a week is going away. So I'll be able to go back to taking photos of landscapes where you can actually SEE something. The bad news is that I am also going to be away for a few days, probably until Easter Sunday so you'll have to wait to see those.
