I was walking on the path leading from Agia Roumeli via Agios Pavlos to Agios Ioannis yesterday and it somewhat reminded me of yesterday's photo of the day. But in a much older, more Cretan way. No Western here but very old Crete with a rocky path built on Crete's red earth and leading through the phrygana towards the White Mountains.
It always amazes me when walking on that particular part of the path, built almost below ground level, to think that it was a well-used path 4000 years ago.
