The flower of the Caper (Capparis spinosa) is very beautiful and the plant is quite common in Crete. What makes the picture above remarkable though is that the photo was taken in January on Elafonisi. Now as far as I know, capers are supposed to flower in early summer. Seasons seem pretty weird in Crete this year. Fortunately it now got a little colder so things might fall back into place.
