Apple tree in Omalos

 

An apple tree is probably something not really worth a second look to most people viewing these photos but here in Crete they are sort of...exotic. Crete's climate is too warm to grow temperate climate fruit as cherries, apples or pears at sea level. But you find them higher up. The plateau of Omalos for example has quite a reputation for producing good apples.
