Orthi Ammos beach, Frangokastello

The first thing that I did after coming down from two days in the mountains was to make a detour to one of my favourite beaches, Orthi Ammos in Frangokastello and wash off the mountain dust in the cool clear waters of the Libyan sea.

If you haven't been to that beach go and take a look next time you are in the area. It is located about 10 minutes walk to the East of Frangokastello. The long beach is lined up by very pretty cliffs of white clay and some sand dunes. The eastern end of the beach is clothing optional.

For that photo I walked out quite far into the sea with my camera. A little unnerving with a pro camera and lens (it's worth more than my car and definitely doesn't like salt water) but I walked very carefully :-)
