Mountain flowers

 

When you look at the landscapes that I presented here in the last 3 days it seems so rough, rocky and desertic that nothing could ever grow. But the high mountains of Crete are home to many species of flowers, most of them rare endemics.

In the photo above you can see one of my favourite, Anchusa cespitosa together with (I think) Crepis fraasii.
