The river of Samaria meets the sea

 

About 300m from the Venetian bridge pictured yesterday the river of the gorge of Samaria meets the sea.
In late spring and summer it is a small river but it can become a raging torrent in the winter, carrying whole trees that it uprooted further up in the gorge.
