I generally try to avoid blowing highlights when I take photos (blown highlights are areas of a photo that are so bright they are pure white). But I got this interesting effect taking a photo into the Samaria gorge on my way up to Kallergi. The mountains behind are so bright that they are not visible anymore (only white) but the overall image is quite pleasing, more like a painting than a photo.

I also just published two pages of photos of Omalos in winter. There were just too many photos to put them in the 'Daily photo' without getting repetitive.
