Psiloritis and Cape Drapanos across Souda Bay - 4th March 2009
Psiloritis and Cape Drapanos seen from across the bay of Souda
A view of Psiloritis, the highest mountain of Crete, rising behind the penisula of Drapanos. The photo is taken from Akrotiri looking across the bay of Souda (see Souda island in the foreground). I am using a telephoto lens (at a focal length of 220mm) which considerably compresses the perspective and makes Psiloritis appear much closer to Drapanos than it is.
