View of Chania from the tombs of Venizelos - Hover your mouse over the image
OK, today something a little different: instead of the usual "Click to enlarge" I am trying out this nifty little Javascript application that allows you to hover your mouse over any area of the image and see an enlarged image. A little similar to Adobe's 'Zoomify' but simpler. One disadvantage though: before you can get it to work you have to wait for the large image to load in the background. This can take a very long time on a dialup connection, not too long on broadband.
As for the photo itself, it is a view of Chania seen from the hill of Profiti Ilias where the Tombs of Venizelos are located. The image is not so clear because the weather was crap: a very light drizzle and I was buffeted by the wind whilst taking the photos. Still, consider this a test and let me know what you think of it. Personally I think that it could be a fun little application on some occasions.
