Shortly before reaching the village of Samaria on the walk through the gorge of Samaria you pass through a slightly elevated area where you can see into the long side gorge (closed to the public) that branches off towards the East. This side gorge ends at huge cliffs which are almost vertical, pretty crumbly and mainly unexplored. This is along the top of these that I found the Anthemis samariensis. I also took the photo shown earlier in September from the tip of the ridge (at the centre in the top photo).
