I am really pleased about his choice of name 'samariensis' which refers to the gorge of Samaria. Despite being classed as mass-tourism and therefore not worth a visit by some snobs, the gorge of Samaria is an incredibly wild, awe-inspiring place. A place in Europe where you can still discover new species in the 21st century (and Anthemis samariensis forms cushions that can be over 50 cm in size so it is not exactly a tiny, almost invisible plant!).
People who complain that the gorge of Samaria is too busy, too much on the beaten track just haven't understood how to visit it properly in order to appreciate it.
