View of the summit of Madaki (2225m) from Katsiveli
This photo was taken in Katsiveli, looking north to Madaki (2225m).
I thought that it was an excellent illustration of the words "unique geology" which are often used when talking about the White Mountains.
You can see another photo here taken exactly from the other side of Madaki from a higher vantage point (the ridge leading to the summit Pachnes).
Note the plants growing in the foreground: Cretan mountain tea which is starting to flower at higher altitude.
