A field of Cretan mountain tea (called malotira by the Cretans and Sideritis syriaca in Latin). This one was located in a small valley between the summits of Agio Pnevma and Svourikti, a little below the spring of Lagou Nero. A nice place to spend the night. In fact I got out of my sleeping bag to take this photo as the sun had just appeared over a high ridge and it was finally getting warmer (we were at 2000 m so it gets cool when the sun is gone).
