The Kallergi refuge looks tiny sitting on top of these cliffs but it is quite a large place: it can sleep up to 50 people even though there are rarely that many. It is located at an altitude of 1600m above the plateau of Omalos and right above the gorge of Samaria. You can drive there (if you have a 4x4 car) or walk from Xyloskalo (entrance of the Samaria gorge) in about one and a half hours.
