Sea daffodil (Pancratium maritimum) - A precursor
of autumn
Even though we are still in mid-summer with high temperatures
and crowded beaches this is the flower that for me symbolizes
the beginning of autumn. The sea daffodil only grows on sandy
beaches and whilst their habitat is said to be disappearing
fast they are still very plentiful on my local beach.
