One of the large bushes of peonies
The White Peony (Paeonia clusii subsp. clusii) is without
doubt one of the most beautiful flowers of Crete. You can only
find it in a very few places (here in a forest high above Anopolis)
and its very short flowering period makes it even more of
a rarity.
I have been watching this specific location for a number of
years now and it is a pleasure to see that the bushes are becoming
more numerous every year.
