Jerusalem sage - Phlomis fruticosa and phlomis cretica -

Jerusalem sage
Jerusalem sage (which is called Phlomis fruticosa as well
as Phlomis cretica for a very slightly different variety) is
invading the island at the moment, covering large tracts of
land with its bright yellow flowers.
It is from the sage family
but doesn't have the smell you'd expect from sage. In fact,
the hair that brushes off easily from
it's leaves is irritating to the eyes and the lungs and might
make you cough and sneeze.
