View from the summit of Psilafi - 26th February
2006
Southwest view from the summit of Psilafi
Psilafi (1980m) is located at the south end of the plateau
of Omalos, west of the better known Gingilos. It's less dangerous
to climb in winter because there aren't as many precipitous
drops. The views from the summit are just as good. Here you
can see towards the southwest: in the foreground the gorge
of Agia Irini (leading to Sougia) and behind the peninsulas
of Paleochora and beyond Konduras.
