The 'mountain' of Stavros, Akrotiri

 

The hill above the bay of Stavros, Akrotiri. Deserted in the winter this protected bay has become very popular in the
summer.
Its main claim to fame is to be where the beach scenes of the film 'Alexis Zorba' were filmed (including the memorable closing scene where Zorba - Anthony Quinn -dances away on the beach).
