A comment someone made yesterday inspired me to add a
little section below the photo of the day in order to place
anything that I wanted to write about or around the particular
picture displayed.
Feel free to ignore and just look at the
pics, generally they'll just speak for themselves.
First orchid of the year. At least the first
one I saw (in Aptera). I wasn't looking for them so others
may have come out earlier. Pretty early or did I just not notice
them other years?
Checked in my wonderful Flowers of Crete
book and it seems to be an Aceras anthropophorum or Man Orchid.
Then again, I might have it wrong. If you know better please
send me a mail.
Ah, and something else...I have finally got it together to
display some of the daily photos on a more permanent basis.
Go and have a look at the Photos of the month (the link is
below) if you have nothing better to do.. It's also a very
pleasant way to procrastinate when you have better things to
do but don't feel like doing them.
