Getting to know my readers

Maybe it is a little bit early to do a survey as I haven’t got 1000’s of readers yet but I am testing the functionality of WordPress so here is a quick poll.
And of course it also  nice to know a little who you are

What is your connection to Crete?

Greetings from Finland. Love your pictures and have recommended these sites to all my friends here and also in Crete. Crete friends where amaized how beautiful island they live in :o)

Good Morning from rainy Surrey in England – I agree with Marsa’s comments regarding your pictures and cannot wait each morning to log on and get my daily fix of Crete. Also regularly look at both the Sfakia Webcams and the one of Chania Harbour. Cannot wait to get back to Crete in August, and just hope that your weather has improved by then. Cannot believe how cold it has been out there recently.

hello from germany. i just love crete! it is the most beautiful island i have seen! and i am pretty much looking forward to coming for vacation again soon!!! this will be the first time for my husband – and i hope it will be a good experience being a “black and white” couple.

You forgot to put the choice: You simply love Crete…..

    • Jean says:

Well, that’s a a kind of given, I suppose. And that won’t stop you from fitting in one of the options given, or will it?

      • Brigitte says:

Jean, it stopped me, because I do not match with the first 3 and I also have not been only a few times in Crete, but many times and also for many weeks, but this did happen in a period between 1986 and 2000. I come to Greece every year, but in the meantime I have visited the whole greek mainland and some islands very far from Crete… But, I will certainly come back – and I love especially West-Crete, Kastelli Kissamos, where I have friends. Coming always out of season- in autumn – and staying even some months, travelling around whole Crete in different years.
So what should I have choosed?

Lots of love from Canada. I visit this website often. Thanks for this blog. I only get an out of country vacation about every four years due to cost. This year I was thinking of Turkey but after reading about the affects of the economy on Crete, I will come and spend my hard earned money there. Hope your cold winter ends soon. We have had one of the warmest winters on record here.

    • Jean says:

Lovely warm day today so it looks like spring is finally arriving.
Yes, Greece needs visitors more than Turkey does. If you come on holidays here, tell them why you chose to come (instead of going to Turkey!). That should make everybody happy and you’ll probably get lots of extra raki 🙂

      good choice!!!

love your website. Look every morning for my daily “fix” of Crete. Delighted with the new blog. Regretfully cant afford to come to Crete this year, but if I could I would just to help with the economy. It is the friendliest place I have ever been for holidays anfd I love the way everyone is so encouraging as I try out my little bit of Greek.
